Pol and Vivian Sanchez

This is me with my wife Vivian Bagano Sanchez after we had our pictures taken today at the studio near our house.

Painting of Dr. Rizal by Fermin Sanchez

This is the photo of the actual painting of Dr. Jose Rizal made by Fermin Vergara Sanchez entitled "Rizal in London 1888-1889" presently on display at Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila.

A painting of my father, Fermin V. Sanchez which is presently in exhibit at Fort Santiago, Ermita, Manila on the second floor of the former cell of Dr. Jose Rizal together with other paintings and memorabilias from Dr. Rizal's time.

I really wanted to see this painting personally because I was still a small boy when he was commissioned to do this painting for the Fort, I was about 7 years old then.

I haven't been to Fort Santiago since I was born and the middle part of 2008 was the first time I visited this place to have this picture taken.

Enzo with Ms. Melanie Marquez

My grandson Elmer Lorenz S. Castro with Ms. Melanie Marquez-Lawyer (model, beauty queen and actress) during the Makati Stake Relief Society Cultural Show and Dance Festival featuring dances from different countries held last September 2006 at the LDS Buendia Chapel, Makati City, Philippines. Melanie is best remembered for winning the Miss International beauty pageant in Tokyo, Japan in 1979. She is herself credited with training later beauty queens like Ruffa Gutierrez, Miss World 1993 2nd Princess; Charlene Gonzales, Miss Universe 1994 4th Runner-up; and Miriam Quiambao, Miss Universe 1999 1st Runner-up.

Me and the Captain

Alvin "The Captain" Patrimonio,
one of the Philippines' great
basketball legend (second only to Jaworski) shares this photo op with the author, who was then working as Sports Editor and Columnist with the daily tabloid Saksi. The opportunity came during the launching of Pwersa ng Bayaning Atleta (PBA) in the country last March 3, 2007 at the Sheraton Hotel, Makati. PBA was slated to be the party list representative of the Filipino athletes for congress during the 2007 general election, with Jerry CodiƱera (another basketball great) as their first nominee.

Me and the Pacman

This was taken last March 2007 in Manny Pacquiao's last press conference before his fight with Solis held at the Sheraton Hotel. It was also the day he left for the U.S. to start training for his coming bout with Jorge Solis held last April 14, 2007 at the Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas. I was then working with the daily tabloid Saksi as a Sports Editor and Columnist and Manny graciously posed for this photo with me.
